Our Story

Shimo is a high-tech manufacturing enterprise integrating R&D, design, production and sales. It has a number of reputable raw material suppliers and a cooperative factory covering 7.41 acres (30000m2). Shimo was founded in 2019 by two founders who have had years of in-depth experience in the foreign trade industry. With ten years of accumulated expertise in precision molds and high-end sheet metal stamping parts, Shimo is able to provide customers with a wide range of practical and innovative products, setting it apart from other potential competitors. Our lifting table with RGB lights is popular in the Middle East, and our products are gradually gaining popularity in Europe.

Development History

2005

A Desk That Changed Everything

In 2005, our founder, Mr. Liu, spent 12-hour workdays hunched over a rigid office desk. After developing chronic back pain, he realized: "Why should work hurt?" This sparked the birth of Ningbo Shimo International Trade—a mission to redefine office wellness through ergonomic innovation.

2012

First Ergonomic Product

SHIMO became an established office brand in 2012 in response to the limited options for affordable ergonomic solutions on the market. During that time, it was impossible to find an ergonomic monitor mount for under $100. Our founder felt strongly that quality ergonomic solutions should be affordable and available to everyday users.

2015

First Patent

SHIMO’s first patent was officially received in 2015 and continues to invest heavily in designing unique ergonomic solutions that do not exist yet on the market. To date, SHIMO has over 23 existing and pending patents that contribute to the innovation of office ergonomics across the world

2024

Science Meets Comfort

Unlike traditional furniture, we engineer movement into productivity. Our R&D team—with 18 patents across the EU and UK—designs height-adjustable desks that adapt to your body, not the other way around. For Italy’s design-savvy professionals and the UK’s remote workforce, we blend Mediterranean elegance with British practicality.
